Party Time!

The team party will be on Saturday, April 30 at 4:00 p.m. at Stanley's (SensPlex). Be on the lookout for an email with further details.

CONGRATULATIONS DESTROYERS!

A perfect way to end a perfect season ... congratulations Destroyers on your 3-2, nail-biting (for the parents!) win. You were undefeated within KMHA (including 3 ties), had an impressive 31-3-6 overall record (including tournaments and exhibition games), 11 shut-outs, won a tournament and now the league championship. Your season was a real team effort -with every player showing points on the stats board. We'll be getting together to celebrate our season soon - details to come. Meanwhile, please keep April 30 open, as the party will likely be on that date. Stay tuned!

Championship Game - Friday April 15, 8:00 p.m., KRC vs ? (one of the Stittsville teams, I believe). Please be at the rink 45 minutes before game time at the latest.

Round Robin Game 3: Wednesday April 6, 8:00 p.m., Mlacak vs C4 (Away). Please note that Coach Frank would like all players to get to the rink 45 minutes before game time so that there is time for him to speak to them before the game.

Week of March 21

Edit to add: A change to the practice schedule came in over the weekend - April 3 has been moved to April 2 - the team calendar page has been updated accordingly.

Update - Playoffs

The Team Calendar page has been updated to reflect our playoff schedule. Note that we play in 3 games during round robin (March 23, 31 and April 6), and top 2 teams after the round robin play for the championship game (to be scheduled). So we have, at most, 4 games left in the season.

Note that we have not received a practice schedule beyond March 13th nor have we received the playoff schedule. I will update the site and email the team as soon as we have some news.

FYI, the Brockville Braves beat the Kemptville Panthers 2-0 to win the tournament championship game ... so the Destroyers are the only team that managed to score on Brockville during this tournament!!

Tournament Update #3

The tournament website confirms that we are playing the first place Brockville team at 11:05 a.m. on Sunday (SensPlex Direct Energy). Remember to be ready to play up to 15 minutes early (ie, 10:50). See you there!

Tournament Update #2

After yesterday's portion of the round robin, and our strong 9-1 win in our second game, we are currently in 4th place, behind Brockville, Kemptville and Nepean (all 3 of those teams won both of their games yesterday; Brockville has had no goals scored against them yet).

Note that my emails and this website have indicated that today's game is at 7:00 p.m., but the tournament schedule does indicate that it is at 7:15 (apologies, my mistake). As usual, we must be ready to play 15 minutes in advance of the start time so please make sure that players are at the rink in time to start at 7:00.

Well, the Brockville Braves got the best of us and the Kanata Destroyers have recorded their first loss of the season! Stats and standings can be found here. See you this afternoon!

PS - some parents/players have decided to drop into Stanley's after this afternoon's game, everyone is welcome to join in.
